Hydration: The Essentials

General considerations

  • Drink 0.033 times your weight (in Kgr) litres of water daily as a minimum
  • Drink more if you are active, living in hot climate or consume caffeinated drinks
  • Any other liquid consumed does not count towards the daily consumption of water
  • Drink good quality water. Water from an artesian well is ideal but filtered or good quality bottled water is also acceptable.

 

Healthy habits

  1. Drink slowly
  2. Start your day by drinking 2 glasses of water
  3. Drink 2 glasses of water half an hour before each meal
