Hydration: The Essentials
General considerations
- Drink 0.033 times your weight (in Kgr) litres of water daily as a minimum
- Drink more if you are active, living in hot climate or consume caffeinated drinks
- Any other liquid consumed does not count towards the daily consumption of water
- Drink good quality water. Water from an artesian well is ideal but filtered or good quality bottled water is also acceptable.
Healthy habits
- Drink slowly
- Start your day by drinking 2 glasses of water
- Drink 2 glasses of water half an hour before each meal
